Our books are spread across four different places in our small apartment. Some are on display; others are tucked away in the closet. We never get to see the whole collection together.

I imagine having a home with one large wall dedicated to all our books. Until we have that space, I wanted to see what it could look like.

So I built it online.

The first Dream Library was a gift for my partner. He loved seeing our own books inside a room he could explore, and it was a surprise he hadn’t expected. Now I’d like to make a few for other people who love their collections.

One note: the text of the books isn’t inside. The reading still happens on your own shelves.

You photograph your shelves.

Phone photos are fine, as long as the spines face out.

I identify your books and build your library.

Each title, author and cover, given a spine and a place on the shelf.

You get a private link to it.

For you and whoever you want to show it to. Or give it to someone who loves their books.
